Dr. Perez-Cardwell completed her residency at Presence Saint Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, where she practiced for five years before returning to Florida's west coast. There, she deepened her expertise in traditional primary care, treating patients across every stage of life, while also serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine, helping train the next generation of physicians.
Her transition to concierge medicine grew out of a desire to restore the integrity of the physician-patient relationship. Having seen firsthand how high patient volumes in traditional primary care can limit both clinical outcomes and patient connections, Dr. Perez-Cardwell chose the concierge model so she could offer truly unhurried, attentive care. By focusing on deep, proactive engagement, she builds the lasting and trust-based partnerships she believes are the cornerstone of individualized medicine.
Dr. Perez-Cardwell resides in Nokomis with her partner, Clinical Pharmacist Carmen, and their three rescue pets, Resident, Attending, and Lucky. She enjoys the salt life, including fishing, boating, and diving, as well as crafting her aesthetic passion project at her medspa in Osprey.
