Dr. Paru Mehta is a board-certified internist who believes the foundation of exceptional medicine lies in time, trust, and meaningful relationships. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, graduating with honors from Alpha Omega Alpha, one of the nation’s prestigious medical honor societies. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Florida’s Shands Hospital, where she went on to serve as a clinical assistant professor in hospital medicine. Her academic background is complemented by a lifelong commitment to service, including extensive global health work in Haiti and El Salvador.
Dr. Mehta applies a highly personalized, relationship-driven approach to care, with an emphasis on prevention and long-term vitality. She values unhurried visits, proactive health planning, and individualized strategies to help patients manage illness and optimize health. Prior to concierge medicine, Dr. Mehta spent years practicing with Pioneer Medical Group at AdventHealth where she cared for a broad and diverse patient population.
Dr. Mehta and her husband, a local urologist, are proud to call St. Petersburg home, where they are raising their son. She feels deeply connected to the community and considers it a privilege to care for patients with a long-term view toward resilience, longevity, and well-being.
